@patatepowa well I know he is a very creative player couldnt ever see antonius calling in this situation.Hes gonna bet there on the end with air or,a hand so I guess it may be profitable to bet these kinds of hands against him,just seems like a heavy loss on top pair to me
@robswift008 ever seen how patrick loves to make light calls
@ciocolomengo
what i forgot lol.The rivercall of the raise was even worse.
@ciocolomengo
the riverbet was not that great.what does he think PA calls with?QT?probably the only hand which i dont think PA will call down to the river
@Randy1337 townsend is one of the top players in the world actually, and he didnt play the hand bad actually, but antonious was great.
@jonesydavid
Although, I will admit, these stakes are ridiculously high. I’m not sure how pros like this would react to flop check-raises, as I’m sure they face them a higher percentage of time than is seen at lower stakes (and thus, face cr-bluffs on the flop a lot as well). So..my logic could be wrong lol.
@jonesydavid
Why would he CR flop? Antonius has the deck crushed after the flop…theres not even a flush draw out there to get value from. Cr-flop is too strong, and most hands fold there. Check-raising turn gives much more value, as townsend is betting a lot of turns. A set cannot be eliminated from PA’s range just because he didn’t CR flop.
Townsends bets here are fairly standard other than maybe the river.
@Randy1337
Brian Townsend was routinely crushed high stakes games online. He’s one of the best cash game players out there. Antonius is better, but it’s not like Townsend is a stranger here.
@Randy1337 what a debacle this hand was. townsend is out of his class here.
@robswift008 it was horendously played by townsend. and antonious is so good he capitalized alll over his mistake
More respect please , YOUTUBE pro’s . The guy can play some poker .
antonius played it perfectly.. he doesnt rep a lot, townsend must have tought “its 78hh or nothing” or something like that
look at phil ivey when patrick is collecting his chips O_o
PA raise is risky as well however i believe it is the correct play as the are only really two hand in Brians range that have him beat KK QQ. Brian has KQ and AK here alot as well as QJ some of the time also a set of five rarely. PA raise is representing a hand such as K 10 of hearts as he may float a dry board out of position some of the time. Or he could have a hand like 65 of hearts feel it now need to bluff to win. Also he figure Brian does not give him credit for a set as he did not CRflop
I dont like the value bet but this must have been his thinking. PA range does include 77- 1010 a worst queen and 67 of hearts alot of the time he usual style would be to raise either the flop or the river with a set although with such a dry board I can see why he chose to slow play at Brian often has air. So on the river his had is good alot of the time however not much of PA will pay off a river bet considering Brian bet all three streets and was the pre flop raiser so he is rarely bluffing
@Randy1337 cheating isildur1
What an unbelievable fish! Where does that guy live, and how do I book him as my opponent?
@Randy1337 only……ONLY…….god knows
Phil Ivey @ 5:24. “I need to doo doo. ….hurry up guys”
townsend is not exactly a bad player he just made a bad call …. antonius confused him royally on that one …
@Randy1337 cause he’s actually pretty good.
